Bacilisa Silva Inducted into Adela de la Torre Honor Society at Northern Illinois University

Bacilisa Silva of DeKalb, IL was among 37 students from Northern Illinois University was inducted into the Adela de la Torre Honor Society during ceremonies on April 21, 2013.

The Adela de la Torre Honor Society seeks high-achieving students like Bacilisa through an array of requirements, including a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher based on a 4.0 scale, community involvement or work experience, demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong willingness to promote a positive Latino identity.

The mission of Adela de la Torre Honor Society is to recognize excellence among Latino students like Bacilisa Silva through scholarship, to promote leadership in students and to help render service via social action.
